Description

The Niagara Ultra Races Marathon course is an out and back route along the Niagara Parkway in continuous sight of the Niagara River.

The first seven and last seven miles of the course are flat. Just past mile seven, runners will encounter a large hill that rises approximately 250 feet over a little less than a mile. Around mile eighteen, runners will go down the same large hill. In between, the course is rolling.

The course is on an asphalt footpath with several road crossings.

Cliff S.'s review of 2024 Niagara Ultra Races Marathon.

4 / 5 Stars

Review

This course has lots of rolling hills and 1 steep hill which is close to 2 km long so you go up on the way out and down on the way back. The race is smaller but the organizers put on a great event. The course is very scenic as you see the niagara river most of the way and it is a great setup for spectators. I would not recommend this marathon if you are looking to PR or BQ though as the hills really destroy your legs. All said though the area is great and I truly enjoyed the event and would seriously consider it again.

Race Tips

I would not stress enough to go out at an easy pace, the first 10k are the easiest part of this run and you will need your legs for the last 15 km.

Logistical Tips (Hotels, Restaurants, Parking, Discounts, etc.)

Parking is easy and plentiful. Spectators have lots of spots along the course to see you.
