The marathon, half marathon, and 8K will mainly be on the Springwater Trail, starting and ending in downtown Boring. The marathon begins at Boring Station Trailhead park and heads out onto the Springwater trail (paved pathway) until reaching Palmblad Road. Here, marathoners turn right and head up the hill and around a quiet neighborhood on a wide shoulder and sleepy streets for a few miles, then back to the Springwater Trail, turning right and going to Gresham Main City Park. They will then follow the Springwater until it intersects the Gresham-Fairview Trail near Cedarville, follow the Gresham-Fairview Trail to Division Street, where there is a turnaround, and back to the Springwater Trail, turning right and running to a turnaround and then repeating this same route back to Boring.
